In this video, we’re going to talk about how to fight WordPress comment spam. Spam is undesired, unsolicited, and irrelevant content that’s posted by someone else.

There are hundreds of plugins that deal with spam. The reason is that spam’s common on the internet. You can be sure that if you allow comments on your site, someone will try to add spam.

Akismet is installed by default on every WordPress site, but an API key is required. It can be used to route comments to their servers for analysis. They process the comments and check for potential spam.
