Task 57 : PHP Training for WordPress – Part 5 – WP Spartans 300

PHP Training for WordPress is our next step towards being Top WordPress Developers in 2019. This is Task 57 and Part # 5 of PHP Training Series under WordPress Spartans 300 Series that we started 3 months ago.

PHP is a wonderful server side programming language. WordPress , as CMS, is built upon php and MySQL. There are millions of php websites and apps all over the world. It’s loosely typed language and its syntax is very much similar to other programming languages.

In this last task, we discussed basic OOP concepts. In object oriented programming, we create classes, define properties/ values / attributes. We create or define methods and functions.

In a class, variables that we define are called properties whereas the functions are methods or methods are functions.

We simple write the class as under:

class Spartans {}
Likewise, we discussed about:

1) Extends, __construct, $this and ::
2) Public, Private, Protected and Static functions.
