Google Tag Manager WordPress installation are relatively easy to accomplish. All you need is your GTM Snippet, which you would need to integrate into your HTML Markup on your WordPress blog. The Snippet belongs beneath the opening body tag. Unfortunately WordPress doesn’t feature a Hook to integrate the code beneath the opening body tag which means that most Plugins need extra manual integration.
In this video I’ll show you both ways of installing Google Tag Manager on your WordPress site. First we’ll cover a manual installation and then go onto learning about how to install GTM with a WP Plugin. For this tutorial I recommend the “DuracellTomi’s Google Tag Manager for WordPress” Plugin which will not only integrate GTM for you, but also help you install the dataLayer with usefull information to pass on to GTM.
