The Hour of Code was co-organised by ISS International School and CompassLoft in Singapore.
Mark Zuckerberg started coding when he was 10. He said that “when people learn to code, they get the opportunity to build the products of the future and move our society forward”.
Contrary to popular belief, coding is neither boring nor complicated. Several parents and children had the chance to see for themselves how simple and fun coding really is. The children were immersed in the coding activities, and even the parents could not resist but to join in the fun!
Indeed, coding is becoming an increasingly important and relevant skill, as more jobs require coding. Coding builds creativity, innovation and knowledge.
