Part 1 – Diane Zucker on Coding and Documentation
The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) and the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) hosted trainings in April, 2016, provided by Ms. Diane Zucker on the Current Procedure Terminology (CPT) coding changes that will occur for mental health pharmacologic management and substance use disorder medical/somatic services under the Ohio Medicaid program. These changes will be effective for services provided on and after January 1, 2017. Ms. Zucker is a health care management and reimbursement consultant with nearly 30 years’ experience in providing physicians, practices and other various agencies with training and educational programs and is a certified CPT coder and ICD-10-CM trainer through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Ms. Zucker provided training on the following topics: Evaluation and Management (E/M) office visits and associated psychotherapy as well as interactive complexity related to psychotherapy services.
