Sponsored by Epic and LoveLace, this “Coding Challenge” allowed Carleton students to use pseudo-coding skills to solve one of the numerous gnarly healthcare software problems that Epic faces. The challenge helped students learn what the process of professional software development in a team looks like and learn about how to begin creating code that considers and solves for the real-world contingencies and complexities in the healthcare IT.
