Coding formatting is the dish-washing of the programming world. Everyone hates it but doing it right and doing it consistently is very important.
Note this this video was originally prepared for the release of Joomla 1.6 but is generally applicable to Joomla 2.5 and Joomla 3 as well. Note also the that Joomla coding style standards have changed somewhat since this video was produced (I will update when I have a chance).
